I will be sharing the daily hacks and techniques that I have been using for all these years working with WordPress and various other frameworks.

Whether you’re new to coding or a seasoned developer, this talk is focused on mastering the art of finding and fixing those pesky bugs. I will share practical tips and industry-tested methods that’ll boost your debugging skills.

This session will explore cutting-edge AI technologies that are currently transforming how we understand and engage with users online. We’ll discuss the role of AI in analyzing user data to anticipate needs and tailor experiences, along with how it can facilitate real-time feedback. Looking ahead, we’ll also examine the potential trajectory of AI integration in web development, predicting how it may further personalize and enhance user interaction in the future.

WordPress aims to democratize publishing which got me thinking, what if a non-coder like myself could ever contribute to WordPress Core. Since the inception of this idea, I began working closely with the Core Team as well Design and Accessibility.

Completing tasks such as testing, updating documentation, administrative work including ‘leading a bug-scrub’ or bug-gardening are all great examples of contributions that don’t necessarily require you to know ‘how to code’. In this talk, I try to paint a picture of an universe where WordPress can thrive with contributions from con-coders and folks such as you and me. I also try to justify the significance of No-code contributions to WordPress and how it is powering the project.

My topic is about my journey so far of running a startup in Nepal. I’d like to speak about the ideation, inception, and realization of a startup venture as well as the challenges that follow. There are many ups and downs on a journey like this so I’d also like to share some of them and how to overcome the challenges. This topic is not only about my personal journey but also around the broader themes of youth entrepreneurship, with an aim to inspire other young individuals who may have a desire of getting on this path.

With Nepal still having an emerging startup landscape, I’d also like to share about its entrepreneurial climate, its opportunities, and challenges.

Trying to get the perfect or even a good score with Core Web Vitals is always a challenge. The first step is to use best practices, but those barely move the needle. Then you dive deeper into the code, you find that the theory doesn’t translate into reality. Invariably, as you fix one metric, another one will plummet. To add to these woes, every time you run the test, you get a different score. We have spent 2 years working with 1000s of sites to improve their scores. We faced all these challenges firsthand, and discovered a few more for good measure. This led us to dig deeper as to what is really happening.
