WP Meet-ups Organisers and Co-organisers

Meetups are the backbone of local WordPress communities. It would be great to integrate with the Meetup API and pull users’ involvement into their WordPress.org profiles. It would also make sense to surface official meetups under the WP Events menu, perhaps as a dedicated section so users can easily discover local communities to support or attend.

As someone who organises a meetup myself and also supports another in a neighbouring county, I know how much effort goes in. We have hosts, co-organisers, and volunteers who contribute regularly, and it would be a meaningful gesture to recognise and celebrate that kind of involvement. 😊
