The request
Why this matters
I noticed that WordPress 6.8 has already been released, but the Contributors page hasn’t been created yet, so users' profiles don’t show “Contributed to WordPress 6.8.”
It would be great if the site could automatically check for new major WordPress versions using the WordPress Releases API and create the contributor page when a new version is released. This would help keep everything up to date, show the right credits to contributors, and make the site better for everyone.

Latest update
There are some hurdles in content here that the WordPress Releases API doesn't address. These are added manually and AI has helped speed up the process. New (major) releases are added to the site within 24-48 hours in most cases.
